The route into medical coding after Plus Two
You cannot start with the coding certification from Plus Two: that programme now needs a degree, and final-year degree students count. The route the counsellors recommend is to begin with medical transcription, which takes Plus Two, and move into coding once you have a degree. Read where the jobs are before you choose, and ask a counsellor which order suits you.
